Paris Hilton signs with new agency

Deal should help expand her showbiz reach

Just when it seemed that Paris Hilton’s profile in the pop culture firmament couldn’t get much higher, she has signed with a major Hollywood talent agency to further her ambitions in showbiz and other arenas.

Hilton, the 24-year-old heiress to the Hilton Hotels fortune and ubiquitous star of Fox’s “The Simple Life” reality franchise, has signed with Endeavor for representation in all areas. The agency’s top brass will work closely with Hilton and her father, Rick Hilton, on managing her career as an actress as well as licensing and endorsement opportunities.

Hilton has become a tabloid darling during the past few years thanks to her jet-set, party-loving lifestyle and an infamous sex videotape that made its way onto the Internet two years ago just as she made her TV debut in “Simple Life.”

Hilton will be seen on the big screen next month in Warner Bros.’ remake of the horror romp “House of Wax,” and she has two other features set to be released this year: comedies “Pledge This!” and “Bottom’s Up.” She also is set for a fourth edition of “The Simple Life,” though Hilton and co-star Nicole Richie recently have had a falling out and Hilton has said she expects to have a new sidekick in the upcoming series.

Last year, Hilton co-wrote a best-selling memoir, “Confessions of an Heiress,” and launched a nightclub, Club Paris, in Orlando, Fla., with the aim of expanding into other cities. She also has a namesake line of perfume marketed through Parlux Fragrances.
