Actress Molly Shannon, known for playing hilarious oddball schoolgirl Mary Katherine Gallagher on “Saturday Night Live,” is taking a dramatic turn, playing a mother fighting cancer in the new film “Other People.” She tells Kathie Lee and Hoda she drew from the personal experience of losing friends to cancer for the role, and says she continues to cherish when people recall her as Mary Katherine – including her own kids!
