Earlier Wednesday, talks between Lindsay Lohan and the folks behind the film "Gotti: Three Generations" fell apart. Producer Marc Fiore wouldn't directly address what led to the road block, but confirmed that they were no longer in talks with the actress to play Victoria Gotti.

But now, the actress is back on the project and is set to play Kim, the wife of John Gotti Jr.

"I'm really excited to be back on set and clear up all the misinterpretations about me and show this is what I love to do," Lohan told The Associated Press.

Fiore confirmed the news to celebrity gossip site TMZ.com, which also reported that the actress got herself back on the project all by herself.

Lohan told the AP there are similarities between Kim Gotti's life and her own. "I can relate to that because I think that I've been portrayed in a certain light. I just want to do my best to show what their family really went through," she said.

John Travolta will play John Gotti Jr., and Joe Pesci one of his deputies.
