It surprises us sometimes when we think we have a celebrity pegged as a fairly private person and then she turns around and starts sharing her life on social media. "Mad Men" star January Jones fits that bill — she jumped on Instagram a week ago.
Don't get us wrong. We're happy to have her. Instagram could use a few more Betty Draper selfies, especially since it appears Jones, 36, has a sillier approach to life than the character she plays on television.
Jones has posted 15 photos and attracted almost 5,000 followers in her short time on the photo-sharing site. There are no pics of her 2-year-old son Xander, but she already looks like she's having fun and even knows what #tbt is.
Her first post was in the makeup chair for a shoot with Vogue Italia.
On Throwback Thursday, she posted a cute vintage shot of herself and her little sister, and said she'd always been tidy.
No food shots yet, but she did call these Jimmy Choo shoes the prettiest she had ever seen. "Can I wear them with my jammies watching the Super Bowl?!" she asked.
Jones called out famed street artist Banksy while posing in front of a heart drawn in chalk.
