“Dawson” is going to be a dad.
James Van Der Beek confirmed he and girlfriend Kimberly Brook are gearing up to be parents.
“Yes, it’s true — the woman I love and I are expecting our first child,” Van Der Beek wrote on his Twitter page on Friday afternoon.
The star, who as a 20-something played Dawson Leery on the hit WB series “Dawson’s Creek,” said he is overwhelmed by his baby news.
“Currently experiencing joy on levels I never knew existed,” he added.
Van Der Beek, 33, met Brook, who is a business consultant, last July, according to People.
Just last month, the actor and Heather McComb finalized the terms of their divorce after nearly seven years of marriage. Their divorce becomes official on June 3.
According to court paperwork obtained by the Associated Press, Van Der Beek and McComb separated months before he officially filed for divorce in November 2009.
