It's no secret that John Legend has a silky-smooth voice, but now he's letting us in on how he keeps it that way.
Legend was on the TODAY plaza to perform such hits as "All of Me," when he stopped by the Orange Room to share his regimen for protecting his voice during his rigorous touring schedule.
"I'm very protective of my voice on the road because I sing a lot and I don't lip-sync, which is rare these days," Legend said. "I sing two hours straight, five nights a week, so it's hard."
Here are Legend's steps behind protecting those pipes:
- Drink lots of water
- Limit alcohol consumption
- Drink plenty of tea
- Get a lot of rest
