If, as Emerson once said, enthusiasm is the engine of success, then Hoda would probably be the world's most successful movie reviewer, ever.

She caught a showing of "Lincoln" and couldn't stop gushing about it Tuesday. She reported being "in tears" in the first five minutes of the new Steven Spielberg flick and said she couldn't tell the difference between Daniel Day-Lewis and the real Great Emancipator.

But Hoda saved perhaps her highest praise for Sally Field, whom she called "off the hook." This is quite the change from Monday, when she compared Lindsay Lohan's fainting skills to "a bag of dirt" in another biopic, the Lifetime channel's "Liz & Dick."

She had only good things to say about "Lincoln," though, and predicted that it would sweep the Oscars. "It's a home run," she twinkled, which may be the catchphrase that makes her critical career. Look out, Roger Ebert.

Jullieanne Smolinski is a TODAY.com contributor who thinks James Spader stole the whole thing.
