Bravo, the cable network responsible for “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” is looking beyond gay men for a potential addition to the makeover TV genre.

It has ordered an hourlong series pilot from producer Authentic Entertainment titled “His & Hers” in which a couple has their bedroom and relationship reinvigorated with suggestions from their friends.

“Hers” is one of several makeover-style series being considered as potential companions for “Queer” in its 10-11 p.m. Tuesday slot, according to Bravo president Jeff Gaspin. “I would start (’Hers’) at 9 p.m. and launch them elsewhere on the schedule,” he said.

“Hers” involves splitting romantic partners up with their respective friends for a day devoted to shaking up their lifestyle. In the pilot, which is in production, a husband is tutored on the fine art of disrobing by a professional stripper. At the conclusion of each episode, the couple would be reunited in order to show off all they have learned.

“Hers” isn’t the only makeover series Bravo is developing. “Housebusters” dispatches a posse of mystical experts to a troubled home.

Authentic’s credits include Travel Channel’s “Weird Travels” and Food Network’s “Beach Eats.”
