We now have video proof that the announcement of President Barack Obama appearing on MythBusters on Dec. 8 is no, well, myth.
The above clip offers up a sneak peek of the commander in chief instructing show hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman to test the myth of Archimedes Solar Ray, the weapon supposedly created by the Greek scientist that utilized only the sun and mirrors to torch invading Roman ships around 200 B.C.
"I am a big fan of MythBusters," Obama explains. "I am, and so are the girls."
And while Archimedes Solar Ray has already been tested and come up short not once, but twice on the show, Obama believes it still "hasn't been thoroughly tested."
"Figure this out and report back to me," he orders.
Yeah, no pressure.
