Sometimes Santa gets it wrong, and we get something we didn't want, like an unironically ugly sweater or a copy of "Fifty Shades of Grey" from a clueless relative. But according to an "In Style" magazine poll, some people feel too guilty to return gifts they don't like for cash or credit.

So what happens to all of this unwanted booty?

Kathie Lee says she happily shares the wealth.

"Say I get three Barry Manilow albums," she said practically. "I'll give the other two away to somebody that loves Barry Manilow and doesn't have the album."

Well sure, but everybody loves Barry Manilow albums. What do you do with other stuff? Hoda says it just sits in her apartment until she rewraps it for another occasion, sometimes with disastrous results.

"I never return anything, she admitted. "Sometimes I give it away, and sometimes I give it to the person who gave it to me by accident. You forget!"

It sounds unlikely, but she's been caught doing it to two separate members of the TODAY staff, Tammy Filler and Jill Martin, who laughed that she was a serial re-gifter.

"You're busted," said KLG.
