The first phase of jury selection in the Robert Blake murder case is over.

Some 75 people have been picked for a pool from which the final panel and alternates will be chosen.

Most of the prospective jurors said they had heard about the case in which the veteran actor is charged with killing wife Bonny Lee Bakley — the mother of his young daughter.

But they promised to put aside any preconceived opinions of Blake’s guilt or innocence and judge the facts.

Some of those quizzed compared the case to other famous prosecutions, including the O.J. Simpson, Scott Peterson and Kobe Bryant cases. One woman said she was disappointed in the justice system because Bryant did not go to trial and Simpson was acquitted was later excused.

The prospective jurors will be back in court December first.
