Tom Cruise’s romantic gestures aren’t limited to couch jumping.
The “Top Gun” star reportedly shelled out $10,000 for a dinner with fiancée Katie Holmes. Cruise took the mother of his daughter to Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills, according to In Touch Weekly, and to ensure their privacy, he paid 10 grand for a private dining room usually booked by groups of 15 or more.
The couple are “suffering from pre-wedding jitters” reports the mag, but the nerves are affecting them differently.
Holmes is said to have barely touched her grilled sea bass, but Cruise chowed down on a whopping porterhouse steak, a Caesar salad and three side dishes: wasabi mashed potatoes, French fries and onion rings — and he topped it all off with a dessert of cheesecake and chocolate-covered strawberries. The pair were celebrating not only their impending wedding, but also Cruise’s new gig at United Artists.
Looks like Holmes is developing pricey tastes. In addition to selecting a lavish Armani wedding gown, ITW also reports that the bride-to-be has selected the scent she’ll wear on her wedding day: Clive Christian No. 1, one of the most expensive perfumes in the world, which retails for $2,350 an ounce.
Hell hath no fury like Shanna Moakler scorned.
The former Miss USA — who reportedly had a catfight with Paris Hilton over her ex, Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker — held a bizarre “divorce party” at Light Nightclub at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, reports Star.
Moakler marked the event with a three layer cake topped with a bride — and the figurine of a bloody, battered groom lying at the foot of the confection. During the festivities, Shanna laughingly held a knife over the toy groom.
When asked if Hilton and Barker are an item, as has been reported, Moakler shot back: “They’re sticking their tongues in each other’s mouths in every photo I see of them, so I look at them as though they are.”
Moakler told Star that she “would have loved” to get back together with Barker and added that it may happen “in time.” But when asked if she would fight with Hilton again, she snapped, “For me, it’s over. I think they deserve each other. They’re similar in a lot of ways.”

Look for Daniel Craig’s James Bond to have a dark side. “One of the things I was criticized for [when he was named to the role of Bond] was that I looked like a bad guy, but I was happy with that because I think true good guys have to step into the dark side to do their job,” Craig told the London Telegraph. “I wanted people to question Bond’s morals and his judgment.” Craig also said that when he received the call telling him he got the role of Bond, he was shopping in Baltimore, picked up a bottle of Grey Goose vodka, and “I went out and got blindingly drunk on vodka martinis.”
