CBS has inked a deal to televise the Tony Awards, Broadway’s biggest night of the year, through 2010, including a 60th anniversary special slated for 2006.

The six-year pact extends the decades-long relationship between the network and the two groups that share responsibility for the Tonys, the American Theatre Wing and the League of American Theatres and Producers.

The Tonys will be broadcast for a seventh year from Radio City Music Hall on June 6, and for the second consecutive year, the ceremony will last a full three hours. Nominations will be announced May 10 at Sardi’s.
