Britney Spears got her driver’s license on Tuesday. But now, is Spears taking to the skies as she heads to a new rehab center?
According to OK! Magazine, the pop princess may be checking into rehab in Antigua as soon as Saturday.
Speculation is that Spears could be headed to Crossroads, the treatment facility founded by rock legend Eric Clapton. Crossroads is the same facility where Britney spent a one-day rehab stint back in February.
Sorrell Trope, Spears’ attorney, told NBC News after Wednesday's hearing that Spears has no plans to enter a rehab facility in the next 24-48 hours.
When and if Spears checks into rehab, it would mark her third stint in a treatment facility after a stay in Promises and the aforementioned brief stint in Crossroads.
Meanwhile, Spears may have lost her kids, but at least she has a driver’s license now.
A spokesperson for the California Department of Motor Vehicles confirmed to Access Hollywood that Brit is now officially a licensed driver in the state of California.
“Britney Spears was issued an interim California driver’s license (on Tuesday), after she fulfilled all the necessary requirements,” DMV spokesperson Mike Marando told Access.
Although she was subjected to the written test (which she passed), Spears did not have to take a driving test after the DMV was able to verify she had a valid out-of-state license from Louisiana.
Spears had her photo taken and was issued a temporary license on Tuesday in Santa Monica. She will carry the temporary paper license until her official new piece of plastic is mailed to her.
As she left the DMV, photographers shot Spears driving away ... with Blackberry in hand, above the steering wheel.
