Did Beyonce cause dozens of people to lose their jobs before Christmas, and a video game developer to lose more than $100 million? That's what a summons filed Tuesday in Manhattan Supreme Court alleges.

The document, filed by video game company Gate Five, claims that they'd teamed up with the singer for a dance game called "Starpower: Beyonce." The game was due out this November, but the project went bust when Beyonce asked for more money last December. The suit calls it "a bad faith breach of contract so callous that, on what appeared to be a whim, she destroyed Gate Five's business and drove 70 people into unemployment, the week before Christmas."

The summons alsoclaims that her demands were "so unscrupulous that her then manager (who is also her father) renounced them." Not sure how that will help anyone's cause, as Beyonce has since severed all managerial ties with her father Matthew Knowles. And, according to one source familiar with the split, Matthew and Beyonce are "borderline estranged" even on a personal level.

Reps for Beyonce have had no comment. New York Magazine obtained a copy of the summons, and you can access that here.
