Are 'Teen Mom's' bad girls turning on MTV?

MTV brought us Snooki, The Situation, L.C. and Audrina, but has the "Real World"-originating network created one phenomenon too many?

"Crying my eyes out wishing I never even moved here thanks MTV," "Teen Mom 2" spark plug Jenelle Evans tweeted Monday. The single mother of 10-month-old Jace didn't elaborate, but last week she was sentenced to probation and community service as part of a plea deal and has been the subject of much ridicule thanks to her on-camera antics.

But wouldn't she have been making mischief anyway, even without MTV's cameras following her around?

Amber Portwood's brother, for one, thinks MTV is in it to win it—it being ratings, that is.

"MTV plays 'Teen Mom' to help promote abstinence and prevent teens from getting pregnant," he tells E! News. "But at the same time, they play a disgusting show known as 'Jersey Shore,' which promotes unsafe sex and drinking.

"How is it possible to air two totally different shows and feel like they are making a difference in the world, plus they say teen pregnancy has gone down yet they are airing [a new season of] '16 and Pregnant'?"

Questions for the ages, Shawn Portwood, questions for the ages.

MTV declined comment when contacted by E! News.

Amber, who appeared on the first go-round of "16 and Pregnant" and "Teen Mom," was charged in Indiana with felony domestic violence in December for getting physical (and not the "Jersey Shore" kind of physical) with baby daddy Gary Shirley after the incident was captured for posterity by MTV's cameras and prompted a criminal investigation.

She has pleaded not guilty and is currently free on $5,000 bail.

Amber herself hasn't made any public remarks against the network, but perhaps she and Jenelle now have more to talk about should they ever get together.
