With Kathie Lee and Hoda on Olympic hiatus for a little while, what better time to get to know the driving force behind the Fourth Hour? No, not Chianti: the wonderful people!
That's why, in the days ahead, we'll be taking a look at 10 fun things you may not know about various members of the KLG&H team. Today, we're getting to know the one and only Hoda-woman, who loves Popsicles, music, and her sister.
1. Early to bed, early to eat
"I love the early bird dinner," says Hoda. "5:30, anyone?" Maybe it's because she's up at the crack of dawn, but also hits the hay early: "I'm in bed by 9."
2. No Halloween for Hoda
"I can't watch scary movies," she admits.
3. She really is a morning person
Given the choice, she says, "I would pick a sunrise over a sunset. I like beginnings."
4. The base of the Hoda food pyramid?
"I think Popsicles are a food group."
5. Are You There, God? It's Me, Hoda
"I keep a journal," she says. "At the end of each entry I write a short grateful list and a lesson I learned."
6. Her desert island DVD picks
Hoda owns three movies: "Love Actually," "The Shawshank Redemption," and "Unfaithful."
7. Her guilty pleasure movie?
"I could watch "Sweet Home Alabama" over and over and over."
8. Her secret celeb crush
Ed Harris.
9. Even Hoda gets homesick
"I miss New Orleans," she admits.
10. Her secret to staying young?
Giggling. "My sister Hala can still make me laugh so hard I feel like I am 8 years old again."
