Workers at an elephant hospital in the Mae Yao National Reserve in Thailand were able to fit Motala with a new prosthetic leg. The 50-year-old pachyderm lost a foot many years back after stepping on a land mine and is now on her third prosthetic -- making this another giant leap for elephant-kind.
