The furor over Kerry Campbell, aka Botox Mom, continues with gossip and mom blogs reporting that Campbell has lost custody of her 8-year-old daughter, Britney.
It all traces to an ABC News report that credits an unnamed source, claiming, "A person with knowledge of the situation told ABC News that the girl, Britney, is doing well but did not offer more detail on the ongoing investigation into the girl's mother, Kerry Campbell."
TODAYMoms first told you about the beautician mom's claims that she gives her daughter wrinkle-free injections to give her an advantage on the beauty pageant circuit in March. Last week, San Francisco's Human Services Agency received numerous calls on its hotline from people worried about Britney's safety.
Trent Rhorer, head of the San Francisco Human Services Agency, on Friday said his agency was investigating the case, but announced Monday that "The San Francisco Human Services Agency has completed its initial investigation and is no longer involved in this case."
Cases like this one are usually referred to the state's Child Protective Services department. CPS has not responded to TODAY.com's requests for comment.
