It's been 10 years since the world said an untimely goodbye to beloved "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin.
We still think of him every time we hear the word "crikey" ... and we're sure his loved ones think of him much more often than that. Bindi Irwin, Steve's 18-year-old daughter, has often taken to social media on birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions to share memories of her dad.
As a 10-year homage, we got a snapshot of Irwin going full-on "Lion King" with his baby daughter...
"You'll be my hero for my entire existence," she wrote in the caption. "I love you more than words can describe."

Bindi was only 8 when her father died after being pierced by a stingray barb while filming a documentary in Batt Reef, Australia.
“You never actually move on from it,” she told Australia’s “Sunday Style” in 2015, recalling her frustration at the constant reassurance that “time heals all wounds.”
“There really isn’t a greater lie. It’s just not true. It’s like losing a part of your heart,” she said. “And when you’ve lost that, you never get it back. Part of you will always be missing. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with.”

Bindi comes by her emotion honestly. We recently got a snapshot of Steve's demonstrative love for his family in a letter he wrote to his parents at age 32.
The Australian "Crocodile Hunter" star penned the note to his mother, Lyn, and father, Bob, to express his gratitude for their love and moral guidance.
"Probably one of the most unfortunate things in a ‘Bloke’s Life’ is that it takes over 30 years to realise how essential you have been to build my character, my ethics and, most importantly, my HAPPINESS,” Irwin began the note.
“At 32, I am finally starting to figure it out. In good times and in bad, you were there. Your strength and endurance to raise me will not go unrewarded. My love for you is my strength!" he wrote.
What? No, we're not crying, you are.
