The pair met today during the queen's tour of Combermere Barracks in Windsor, southern England. Looking dapper in a long purple coat and matching hat, the Queen chatted with the soldiers (and many horses) that make up the British Household Cavalry. Built in 1804, Combermere Barracks is less than a mile from Windsor Castle. The queen’s visit comes the day before Kuwait’s emir, Sheikh Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, is to arrive at Windsor Castle for his three-day stay in Britain.
