So how did the latest viral "unimpressed" meme, starring President Obama and McKayla Maroney, come about?
"He asked me to do it," the gymnast said on TODAY Monday. "He said, 'I do this face at least once a day. You always have to be not impressed with something.'"
Maroney came to the plaza along with the rest of the Team USA "Fierce Five" to celebrate the wrap of a 40-city national tour.
Everyone was unimpressed. But for Maroney, meeting the president — and discovering he knew about her meme — was extremely impressive.
"It was definitely kind of mind-blowing," she said. "We're like, 'did this just happen?'"
