August will be "Eat Local" month in New Hampshire.
State agriculture officials say New Hampshire consumers have been showing unprecedented interest in food grown locally.
Activities planned throughout the month include multi-course dinner events.
One planned event is a New Hampshire Growers' Dinner on Aug. 17 to benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank.
The week of Aug. 7-13 is New Hampshire Farmers' Market Week, which coincides with the annual National Farmers' Market Week.
