On the first day of Christmas, J.K. Rowling will give Harry Potter fans a multi-day gift.
The Facebook page for Pottermore, the website that continues the wizarding world of the popular books and films, announced that "Christmas is coming early to Pottermore," and by early, they mean early.
Beginning Dec. 12 and running through Dec. 23, the site will offer its readers daily surprises, including "wonderful new writing by J.K. Rowling in Moments from 'Half-Blood Prince', shiny gold Galleons and even a new potion or two."
Pottermore visitors will have to answer riddles to unveil the "#PottermoreChristmas" treats that Rowling is providing.
Despite initial reports that the post specifically referred to 12 new stories, Pottermore posted a clarification that "our 12 days of festive surprises and accompanying rhyming riddles refer to new potions and Moments in addition to several new entries by J.K. Rowling."
"Sorry to disappoint fans, but there will not be a set of 12 new short stories, one for each day of Christmas. Even Pottermore wouldn't be that generous," the post concluded.
Regardless of the additions, we're grabbing our cloaks and wands. It's going to be a very magical holiday season.
