As evidence that Lauren Scruggs is moving forward with her life, consider Exhibit A: A photo of the fashion blogger and former model doing physically demanding pull-ups at a Texas gym.

Scruggs was severely injured just over a year ago when she accidentally walked into a spinning plane propeller. She suffered a brain injury as well as the loss of her left hand and left eye.

The 24-year-old has been working hard to heal and get her strength back ever since, and now she's showing off the results.

Physical therapist Sheri Walters, who works with Scruggs at Athletes’ Performance in Frisco, Texas, posted the striking photo on Twitter Tuesday, telling followers, “@LaurenScruggs getting it done today ... What did you do today??”

Since her injury, Scruggs has received a prosthetic hand and eye and has been working to regain a sense of normalcy.

“It has been empowering to accomplish physical goals on a daily basis at Athletes' Performance,” Scruggs told TODAY.com “It has only been possible with the help and encouragement of my physical therapist, Sheri.”

During an appearance on TODAY in November, Scruggs said she’s been able to resume many activities she enjoyed before the accident.

“I’m feeling really well,’’ she said. “I’m still doing rehab every day. They’re actually just working me out very hard. I love it. (I am) off all pain medication, and just spiritually I feel a lot deeper in my faith.

“It’s amazing the way your body just kind of does what it needs to do. Things that are really difficult at the beginning I don’t really think about it anymore, and they’re easy to do, so I’m thankful for that.”
