Ally Love is joining TODAY. Get all the details

The Peloton instructor is set to serve up plenty of motivational content in the months ahead.

There's a new member of the Start TODAY family!

Peloton instructor Ally Love is joining TODAY as a contributor and she's ready to share her top health and fitness tips to help jumpstart your wellness journey.

Love will be sharing her lifestyle advice on all of TODAY’s platforms, including digital, broadcast, social and streaming.

In her new role, the Peloton pro will appear across TODAY programming covering wellness and fitness topics — she'll also launch a recurring series about mindfulness and motivation called "Love Your Mornings."

These topics are near and dear to Love's heart in her role as CEO and founder of Love Squad, a community she built in 2015 to empower and motivate women. The platform addresses tough topics ranging from salary negotiation to fertility and everything in between.

As a TODAY contributor, Love said she's excited and grateful to be joining the TODAY family.

“I believe in the daily work of this community and am honored to jump in across all platforms. I look forward to sharing small attainable changes we can all make to create a huge impact in our day-to-day lives when it comes to wellness and taking care of ourselves and other," Love says.

Libby Leist, executive vice president of TODAY and Lifestyle, explained why partnering with Love was a no brainer.

“As we rapidly expand our Start TODAY wellness community, Ally embodies why we are so passionate about this space. Her enthusiasm is inspiring, and we can’t wait to share it with our audiences,” Leist says.

Love, who previously worked as a New York Knicks dancer, has been the host of the Brooklyn Nets for the last 10 seasons. Throughout her career, she has earned a reputation as a motivational speaker and writer and the pro plans to tap into these skills while creating content for TODAY.

Love stopped by Studio 1A on Tuesday to share her exciting news and told TODAY’s Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie the moment felt very “surreal.”

“You only get one opportunity for your first, so this is a first of a first and I’ve been really present in each moment taking everyone in, taking it all in because I wanna look back in years to come and say, ‘Remember that first time I sat on this couch?’” she said.

While chatting about her career path so far, Love paused for a moment to recognize how far she’s come along the way.

“We don’t say this enough about ourselves. I am proud of myself in this moment. And it’s not in a cocky way; it’s in a matter of fact way," Love said.

The TODAY contributor then elaborated on how she's feeling.

"It’s like I’m taking this moment and saying, ‘I am proud of all the work that my family, my teams, my friends, you all, the folks that have inspired me, and the work that I’ve put in. And this is a culmination. This moment is a culmination,’” she said.

The announcement will also come as news to Love’s family and friends since she managed to keep it a secret from everyone but her husband.

“My mother has no idea,” she said.

In her new role, Love will produce content based on three main topics: mind (mental well-being), matter (physical well-being) and meaning (finding your purpose).

Love is known for inspiring her followers and Hoda was curious to know when she first found her voice.

“I don’t know. I’m still trying, to be honest. But I do think it was unlocked when I started at Peloton… It was one of those moments where once I got on the Peloton platform and I started to realize the effects, I knew the power of words. Once I started to realize the effect that it had on the community positively, it was like, ‘You know what? Let me take my power back, let me step into this power actually,’” she said.

Welcome to the TODAY family, Ally!
