We've seen a lot of red, white and blue this past week with the election, but it's time to fly our patriotic colors for a far more important reason. This Sunday, Nov. 11th, is Veteran's Day, an occasion when we honor the men and women who protect our freedoms every day. We all have someone in our lives we should thank for their dedication, commitment and service to our country. It’s time to express our gratitude to our men and women in uniform, past and present.

Send your thanks and images to TODAY’s Life Illustrated and we may present them on the air this Sunday. Whether it’s a photograph of a favorite veteran or a tribute, we’d like to share it. Submit your pictures to TODAY’s Life Illustrated, or tweet your photos using #MyLifeToday.

"My favorite wedding photo of my Husband Marshall and I.  We got married on Aug.18. after searching for each other 25 years. We were engaged 32 years ago when he was in Germany with the Army but we broke up.  All those years we were still thinking about each other and 2 years ago we found each other again on Facebook. And now we got married. The happiest day in our lives" - Christel McCabe (Poland, me)

Shannon Lee / Today

" I captured this boy reading the names of the fallen on hundreds of flags that were laid out before him. May we never forget!" – Shannon Lee (Orlando, FL)
