The TODAY anchors are departing the show in May! Only for one day each, that is.
In the special series Anchors Abroad, beginning Monday, May 2, six of the TODAY anchors will travel abroad to make surprise cameos on some of the biggest international television shows.
- Al Roker will bust a move as the orange Wiggle from Australia’s hit TV show “The Wiggles.”
- Natalie Morales will channels her inner soap star and takes a leading role in an episode of Telemundo’s hit telenovela, "Los Herederos Del Monte."
- Ann Curry will act as a guest star on the famed Danish game show, “Bingo Banko,” which is watched by nearly one fourth of the entire country of Denmark every Saturday night.
- Kathie Lee and Hoda will take Jamaica by the coconut cocktails, and help host the country’s morning program, “Smile Jamaica.”
- Meredith Vieira will practice weird science and make a cameo in the UK’s hit “Dr. Who,” the longest and most successful sci-fi show ever.
Don't panic! All of our globetrotters will be back in Studio 1A the following week doing what they do best -- hosting America's favorite morning show.
