As a special 60th birthday present to TODAY coming up on Jan. 14,  Running Press is publishing a new book: "From Yesterday to TODAY: Six Decades of America's Favorite Morning Show."

Written by TV Guide's Stephen Battaglio, it'll cover the broadcast's rich history as America's window to the world.

"'From Yesterday to TODAY' represents the most ambitious and comprehensive effort to document the 60-year history of TODAY," said executive producer Jim Bell. "TODAY is where generations of Americans have started their day, where the conversation begins, where viewpoints are stated, where news is made. This book brings you into our world and irrespective of one’s morning TV habits, TODAY’s place in television history and American culture — as the closest thing we have to a national hearth — is secure.”

The book, which will go on sale Nov. 15, will include interviews with dozens of TODAY family members past and present, including Matt Lauer, Ann Curry, Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Meredith Vieira, Jane Pauley, Barbara Walters, Katie Couric, Willard Scott and more.
