Matt Lauer's memorable moments on TODAY
Matt Lauer assumed the anchor chair Jan. 6, 1997. And it's been quite the ride since; he's interviewed three sitting presidents, broadcasted from seven Olympic Games and circled the world more than 10 times. See images of his most iconic moments.
Just days after Savannah, who celebrated last Thursday on the show, Matt is squeezing in a birthday before the new year.
It's been a year of firsts for the germophobic co-anchor, who was late to work for the first time in October, made a Jordan-style slam dunk in August and earned the nickname "Matt 'The Tower of Power' Lauer" in London.
And today, the co-anchor (for 15 years now!) is officially another year
Join us in wishing Matt the happiest of birthdays and send him a celebratory tweet!
