Can you imagine winning the lottery? How about winning it twice? Well, Gene and Addie Angelo can do more than just imagine becoming two-time winners, because they've already done it.
They joined us this morning to talk about winning the $5 million jackpot from the New York Lotto on Thursday. WATCH VIDEO
In 1996, they won $2.5 million, and according to a lottery official, this is only the third time in Lotto's history that someone has won the jackpot twice.
Addie said that she and Gene, who live in Carmel, New York, plan to take the lump sum payout of $2.5 million. They'll share the winnings with their three sons, so the five of them will clear a cool $513,000 before taxes.
The odds of winning the lottery twice? Twenty-two million to one. And the Angelos aren't finished there -- they plan to keep on playing in the hope of winning a third time.
In the meantime, the Angelos are basking in the attention. At one point on Friday, with media outlets and friends and family calling the house, Addie said, "Now I know how Britney Spears feels with all of the attention."
Not surprisingly, Addie's children and grandchildren are now calling her "Britney." With newfound wealth and a woman named "Britney" involved, it's only a matter of time before Kevin Federline calls...
