Fans would love to celebrate by heading to the ballpark, eating a hot dog, and maybe catching a foul ball. Many others will spend it online, obsessing over their team on Facebook.

The social network has mapped out where these baseball obsessives live and who they are rooting for. Each color represents the official MLB team page that the most people in a county "Liked."

Apparently not the New York Mets, who suffered at the hands of the New York Yankees, the most popular team on Facebook. 

The Mets were one of three teams — including the Toronto Blue Jays and the Oakland Athletics — that failed to win a plurality of fans in any county. 

Ultimately, if you live in a state without a MLB team, like Utah or Louisiana, you probably are rooting for the Yankees, Boston Red Sox or the team located in the state next to you. Sorry, Mets!
