Fourteen months after Tracy Morgan was involved in a highway crash, he's on the road to recovery and hope. The latest proof? He married fiancee Megan Wollover.
"After almost losing Tracy last year, I am so grateful to finally be married to the love of my life," she told People magazine.
The pair wed on Sunday night in an intimate ceremony that included friends and family — including the couple's 2-year-old daughter Maven.
"We have been through so much and our love is stronger for it," said Wollover, 28.
Indeed: Morgan, 46, had his life upended on June 7, 2014 when a Wal-Mart tractor trailer hit his limousine van on the New Jersey Turnpike. He was put into a coma, and his fellow comedian James McNair was killed.
Word had it that Morgan might not perform again, and the former cast member was unable to attend "Saturday Night Live's" 40th anniversary celebration on NBC in February.
But slowly things began to improve: He visited TODAY to talk about the accident in June and was thrilled to learn that same month that he would be getting a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. In July he was spotted with Wollover and Maven at Disney World, and earlier this month news emerged that he would return to his former stamping grounds by hosting "SNL" on Oct. 17.
He told People in June that he was motivated to heal because he wanted to walk Wollover down the aisle under his own power.
"I don't want to walk my wife down the aisle with a cane or in a wheelchair," he said then. "So I had to go hard with the therapy … I had to get better. There was no ifs, ands or buts about it."
This is Morgan's second marriage; he had three sons with his wife, high-school sweetheart Sabina Morgan. They divorced in 2009 after a long separation.
