Matriarch and self-proclaimed "momager" Kris Jenner is dishing up recipes and family talk in her new book, "In the Kitchen With Kris." But while Jenner keeps up with several Kardashians in the text, there's one member of the family that isn't mentioned at all: Bruce Jenner.

The couple, married since 1991, filed for divorce in September, and during a Monday morning visit to TODAY, the reality star got real about the breakup and addressed a number of post-split rumors — including one claiming that her gold-medal-winning ex is in the process of transitioning to a woman.

  • On the gender reassignment rumors: "It's silly! [The tabloids have] been saying that since the '70s, so you think he'd be cooked by now. … They just keep regurgitating the same old stuff."
  • On why there's no mention of him in the book: "Bruce and I were getting a divorce. I mean, he's a great guy, but I just did [the book] for the kids and the grandkids."
  • On why they split: "We decided we're just better apart than we are together. But we're still really good friends."
  • On reports that he's dating her friend: "I don't know who he's dating. He doesn't check in with me and give me a play-by-play."

As for how she's doing now, she insisted, "I am so happy!"
