Although Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck divorced last year, Garner had some high praise for her ex-husband's parenting skills in a recent interview.

Garner revealed Friday that Affleck utilized his role as Batman in the upcoming "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" to pull a pretty spectacular surprise at a birthday party for the couple's 4-year-old son, Samuel.

"We all dressed up, I dressed up as a ninja and Ben dressed up as Batman for Sam," Garner told Extra. Sam, who was already "kind of losing it" over his dad's superhero role, was dazzled.

Garner called it "the best dad moment in history."

The story comes just after Garner got candid about her family and relationship with Affleck in the March issue of Vanity Fair.

"I didn't marry the big fat movie star; I married him," Garner told the magazine. "And I would go back and remake that decision. I ran down the beach to him, and I would again. You can't have these three babies and so much of what we had. He's the love of my life. What am I going to do about that? He's the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous."

But similar to Garner's comments to Extra, she revealed to Vanity Fair that she and Affleck are on the same page when it comes to their kids.

"The main thing is these kids — and we're completely in line with what we hope for them," Garner said. "Sure, I lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter's wedding. But you should see their faces when he walks through the door. And if you see your kids love someone so purely and wholly, then you're going to be friends with that person."
