In order to win its first gold medal since women's ice hockey made its Olympic debut in 1998, the U.S. will have to go through its bitter rival on Thursday in Sochi.

The Americans will take on Canada in a game they have been anticipating for four years, and they talked to TODAY's Jenna Bush Hager about their quest to bring home the gold.

"We're ready to rock,'' said veteran forward Julie Chu.

Team members talked to Hager about their cohesiveness, the connection of twin forwards Monique and Jocelyne Lamoureux, and what it has been like under first-time Olympic head coach Katey Stone, the head coach from Harvard University. Watch the video here.
