Spring is in the air and it's time to tackle your beauty bag. From eye-popping color to the latest in sunless tanning and hassle-free hair, TODAY style editor and Bobbie.com's Bobbie Thomas highlights the trends in beauty everyone is buzzing about:

Face

Color craze: We saw them all over the spring runways, from Oscar de la Renta to Derek Lam — bright, bold eyes. While we've puckered up to color for a while, eyes are now the new focal point. Get ready to ditch the dark, smoky hues in favor of a lighter look. Sephora's Colorista Custom Makeup Palette is a fantastic way to experiment with a rainbow of shades (more than 40 different eyeshadows alone) and best of all, you can pop your favorites into the portable compact when you're on the go ($36; Sephora.com).

For the liner lovers, this season is all about outlining, and you can define your eye with a pop of color from a professional favorite, Make Up For Ever. Their Aqua Liners come in a variety of vivid, long-lasting shades that are waterproof, sweatproof and smearproof so you can wear them from day into night ($17; Sephora.com).

Eye openers: If you are looking for a softer, more subtle effect, try a nude liner. Similar to how nude pumps and sandals elongate your legs, nude eyeliner is a backstage beauty secret that will visually open your eyes. Pixi Beauty's Eye Bright Liner No. 1 in nude ($16; PixiBeauty.com), Chanel's Intense Eyeliner in Clair ($28; Chanel.com) and gloMinerals Precision Pencil in peach ($16; gloProfessional.com) are all great options that can be paired with your favorite shadow to add instant brightness.

Lastly, even mascaras are getting in on the trend by helping to enhance your natural eye color. L'Oreal Double Extend Eye Illuminators ($10.95; LorealParisUSA.com) are infused with light-reflecting pearls intended to bring out the color of your eyes, while Physicians Formula's Custom Eye Enhancing Mascara Duo ($10.95; PhysiciansFormula.com) comes in formulated shades intended to customize your lashes based on your coloring.

Cool coverage: Water is the latest wonder ingredient in many of the hottest skincare items out there. "BB" creams (aka Blemish Balms) have been a huge hit in Asia and Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm (BB) cream — made up of 50 percent water — is quickly becoming a cult favorite stateside due to its multipurpose ingredients. A moisturizer, sunscreen and treatment serum in one, the balm is a drink for your skin, providing an instant cooling and soothing effect ($32; Sephora.com). MAC's Magically Cool liquid powder is another product that bloggers are buzzing about, as it acts like a powder but feels like a cool blast of liquid when applied ($29.50; MacCosmetics.com).

Body

Glow getters: Just launched, GliSODin Skin Nutrients Advanced Skin Brightening Formula offers protection in pill form with beauty-from-within benefits. The dietary supplement aims to boost your sun protection factor (SPF) and helps promote an even skin tone, but should be used in conjunction with a topical sunscreen ($80; Glisodinskin.com).

For those looking to swipe on some sun, Dr. Dennis Gross' Alpha Beta Glow Pads for the face come in minitowelettes that offer exfoliating and anti-aging benefits and go on lightly without dripping ($32; dgskincare.com). Dr. Denese's Glow Younger self-tanning gloves for face and body give you a better handle on the application process and are infused with advanced peptide technology to help firm skin and soften the appearance of lines and wrinkles ($42; ). If you suffer from oily, dry or sensitive, problematic skin, Beautisol offers a line of facial tanners specially formulated for individual skin conditions ($24-$30; beautisol.com).

A personal favorite of mine, St. Tropez's sunless Wash Off products are a quick way to get instant color that washes off easily ($15-$22.50; StTropeztan.com).

Hair

Tress tamers: A solution for those who want sleek hair, Frizz Ease 3 Day Straight Semi Permanent Style Spray ($9.99, JohnFrieda.com) and Living Proof Straight Styling Spray ($29, LivingProof.com) promise you a straight look longer than just one application — lasting days, or until you wash them out. Redken's Radiant Sea Spray is a new multipurpose product that not only fights frizz and adds texture but, thanks to its time-release capsules, will also give off a fresh scent every time you run your fingers through your hair ($17; Ulta.com).

Strand stylers: Last but not least, goddesslike locks are possible with these new buys — Goody's Summer Waves Hair Rollers ($9.99; Walgreens.com) and Kevin Murphy's Wave Clips ($3.75; KevinMurphy.com.au). Create effortless, tousled waves by simply clipping in the soft curlers or locking in the clip.
