Drew Barrymore has found yet another outlet to creatively express herself.
The actress, author, wine enthusiast, entrepreneur and mother of two has now added home decor designer to her resume with her first home decor and accessory line exclusively for Shutterfly.

So what inspired her Boho-inspired designs and playful patterns? Life events, of course. “As I started throwing inspiration ideas around with the Shutterfly designers, I was also starting the process of redoing my own bedroom," she said. "I found this piece of fabric at the Rose Bowl that really inspired me, and ultimately, ended up setting the entire tone for my room." And that ended up crossing over to her new collection — bedding in particular. "I was able to take that original inspiration pattern and tweak the colors, lines and shapes to design something that is hopefully attractive and fun.”

The collection features colorfully patterned textiles that can work for teens and adults alike. It includes duvets, pillows, blankets, shower curtains, artwork and customizable home accessories. Barrymore, 41, describes her personal interior design style as “Personal. Comfortable. Inviting.”
According to her, keeping an open perspective and collaborating with like-minded creatives helped bring the collection to life. “Like I always say, you can never do anything in life alone. And design is no different," said Barrymore.

She continues: "It’s such a fun process. Everyone has such a different eye, taste, aesthetic...and brings something to the table. For example, when I think I couldn’t find a better pattern for something, then one person may try one small tweak that just takes it to the next level and we all love it even more. It’s such a fun back-and-forth process.”
