Joey Feek continues to spend every minute of her remaining time left with her daughter, Indiana — and it’s been a mixed blessing for her husband.
“Feeling broken-hearted and blessed all at the same time this morning... watching my beautiful bride pour a lifetime of love into a few minutes a day,” Rory Feek wrote in the caption of a photo he posted Wednesday to social media.
The photo shows the couple’s nearly 2-year-old daughter sitting on her mother’s hospital bed, taken at an angle from which only the top of Joey’s head can be seen.
Joey, 40, has been in hospice care since last fall after deciding to give up treatment for stage 4 ovarian cancer. She and her husband, who make up the country gospel duo, Joey+Rory, are spending Joey’s final days in her hometown of Alexandria, Indiana.
Rory has been chronicling the couple’s time together through photos and touching posts written on his blog, This Life I Live.
"I cannot even begin to imagine going home to Tennessee without Joey, or living my life and raising Indy without her… but chances are, that day is coming," he wrote in his most recent blog post.
