Who would leave a 14-year-old fan so sad over a snub she was "practically crying on the way home"? Apparently, "Glee" star Lea Michele. Her adorer? "True Grit's" breakout star Hailee Steinfeld.

The young actress told J-14 magazine that when she was auditioning for the part in the Coen brothers' film on the Paramount lot, she spotted Michele walking to her trailer and decided to ask for her autograph. "So I walked up to her and asked for her autograph, but she walked by and a guy came and said, 'Sorry, now's not a good time!' ... I was so sad!" the 14-year-old revealed.

But it's not Michele's fault! Really! The "Glee" star told Gossip Cop exclusively, "I heard Hailee was upset and feel terrible. The 'Glee' schedule is so jam-packed that the PA probably pulled me so that I wouldn't be late to set," Michele explained. "I never meant to hurt her feelings.  She’s an extraordinary talent and I look forward to meeting her one day."

Extraordinary talent is right. Steinfeld is winning big-time accolades for her role as the revenge-seeking Mattie Ross in "True Grit." She's already snagged nods for supporting female actor from the Screen Actors Guild and the Washington DC Area Film Criticis Association awards.
