Famously marriage-phobic actor George Clooney has no regrets when it comes to his lack of a long-term relationships and kids. For him, it’s simply a choice of work over domestic bliss.
“I don’t expect to ever get married again or have children,” the “Ocean’s” star told Britain’s People. “I am never at home and every woman gets sick of it. … If I was them, I would never put up with me for long — and they don’t.”
That’s right, it’s the women who tend to leave the Hollywood hunk, not the other way around. Still, George places the blame firmly on his lifestyle.
“I do begin to wonder, ‘Am I going to be relegated to these three-year relationships for the rest of my life?’ My trouble is that I keep on taking jobs, and jobs take me further away from home,” George confessed. “What I really have is work. I like being on a film set, freezing my ass off, or whatever.”
An uncle, also named George, deserves some credit when it comes to the actor’s “no regrets” philosophy.
“I learned a lot about death from him,” George said. “People keep on asking me, ‘Don’t you want to have kids?’ I have not wanted to have kids. Then they say, ‘Aren’t you afraid of dying alone?’ But we all die alone. I remember Uncle George sitting in bed, 68 years old. He looked at me and said, ‘What a waste.’ … I came to the conclusion that I was not going to wake up one day in my 60s and say, ‘What a waste.’ I was going to grab as much out of this life as I could.”
Pete Wentz’s baby talkWith Ashlee Simpson due to give birth to their first child in just a few months, Pete Wentz is taking any wee-one advice he can get. In an interview with People, Pete admits he now spends most of his time hitting the books and talking to his baby-to-be.
“I talk to it all the time,” Pete told the magazine. “‘The Expectant Father’ tells you that the woman, when she speaks, the baby hears her all the time. And the father’s voice isn’t familiar unless you talk to it, so I talk to it all the time.”
The Fall Out Boy bassist is quickly becoming an expert at potential papahood thanks to the book by Armin Brott.
“It tells you your partner’s moods month-by-month and week-by-week,” Pete, who’s hoping for more children in the future, explained. “It tells you why you’re feeling the way you are, how you can feel more involved in the pregnancy.”

“Just want to hank allyou supportive lovely people and thank you for putting up with my kookoo bananas alter ego should; we give her a name?” Courtney asked her readers. “shoudl we give my alter ego a name? hmnmmmm Cherry! ‘Cherry kookoo.’”
Apparently “Cherry” posted an embarrassing memo in the wee hours last Thursday. The message had something to do with “Experian and these credit card bills and (her) computer being shared by a 100 people,” but Courtney later deleted the evidence and put the whole incident down to the pain of two broken toes and her “kookoo” side. She also assured her fans it probably won’t happen again.
“So if /when im overcome and blog again wich i wont do i took a picture of a friend looking at me rather sternly to remind me not to- well know it was Cherry Kookoo,” Courtney wrote before optimistically adding, “but i think I’ve killed her off.”
Dish on the fly“American Idol’s” Simon Cowell can add movie producer to his resume now that he’s working on a biopic about Paul Potts, an opera star who got his break on another Simon show, “Britain’s Got Talent.” Speaking to Extra TV, the grumpy judge pondered the idea of telling his own life story in film and decided only Brad Pitt could take on that part. “It’s believable!” he joked. … She’s just one month into motherhood, but Jessica Alba already has her parenting plan mapped out. “Kids’ personalities have so much to do with the parents and their mentality,” the “Sin City” actress told S magazine. “If you’re very paranoid and uptight and won’t let your child cross the street, they are going to take on that anxiety. If you’re a little more laid-back and make your kids responsible for their actions, you’ll probably have an easier time with them.” Then again, Jessica realizes it’s all speculation at this point, as she added, “I guess I’ll find out.”
