Susan Sarandon never considered marrying her longtime partner Tim Robbins, according to an interview she gave to London's Telegraph newspaper. "I've always liked the idea of choosing to be with somebody. I thought that if you didn't get married you wouldn't take each other for granted as easily. I don't know if after 20-something years that was still true," she said of her relationship with Robbins. When a rep for Sarandon and Roberts confirmed in December 2009 that the couple had split the previous summer, the public was shocked. "People were coming up to me in the street and saying, 'I cried and cried when I heard.' Well, I was sadder! I didn't think it would ever happen, either," Sarandon said. "You bring people into your life at certain times. Maybe you have a relationship to have children and you realize that it's fulfilled after that point." Sarandon has been spotted out with her New York ping-pong club business partner, Jonathan Bricklin. The pair say they are not dating.
