If you’re among the “Dancing With the Stars” fans happy to see Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife Denise Richards out of the competition, you aren’t alone.

According to a source close to Sheen’s new wife Brooke Mueller, Mueller’s friends were actively rooting against Richards.

“With new twins, obviously Brooke has bigger things to worry about, but her friends were having viewing parties just waiting for (Richards’ expulsion) to happen,” said the source. “They’re tired of (Richards) doing anything for attention.”

In other “Dancing” news, Steve-O, who recently hurt his back during a dress rehearsal, managed to stay in the competition. The “Jackass” star, now living in a sober house, says he’s determined not to let his injury send him back into his old habits.

“My buddy Johnny Knoxville and a bunch of friends came over last March and staged an intervention in my apartment,” Steve-O told Life & Style. After a year of sobriety, Steve-O says he will nurse his injury without medication.

“I said, no way,” he told Life & Style. “I’m not comfortable taking pain medication at all. I’m icing it. I’m dealing with it.”

Good news for Botox bizThe Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that the 2010 Oscar ceremony is moving to March 7, after a Feb. 22 ceremony this year. The move was to accommodate the closing ceremony of the winter Olympics.

If the Golden Globes ceremony stays in late January, this could mean an additional two weeks between awards shows. One group who might benefit from the spacing between the two is the dermatologists who get the celebs red-carpet ready.

Dr. Patricia Wexler, a dermatologist, said that the 2009 model, which left about 4 weeks between the Globes and the Oscars was ideal for Botox efficiency. “Celebrities would only have to get one Botox treatment, not two. It could last through the whole awards season,” said Wexler.

Though it’s the third time the couple has parted ways, sources say Jennifer Aniston, who took John Mayer to the Oscars on Feb. 22, never saw their latest breakup coming.

“She would never have paraded him around like that if she didn’t think what they had was real,” a source told Us Weekly. “She feels like he played her.”

Aniston’s friends managed not to get caught blindsided. “Her friends are trying to be sympathetic, but it’s a little hard because they warned her,” the source said.

At least she has a chance to translate her personal drama to the big screen. On March 23, Aniston was in NYC to start filming her new movie “The Baster.”

Meanwhile, Mayer has been keeping himself busy on Twitter. One recent Tweet: “I'm getting my bikini wax for the Mayercraft Carrier (cruise). Should I go with heart or lightning bolt?”
