Halloween is still more than a week away, but on Sunday, Neil Patrick Harris took to Instagram and shared a family photo of some pre-holiday costume fun.
The "How I Met Your Mother" star, fiancé David Burtka and their 3-year-old twins, Gideon and Harper, were decked out as characters from Disney's animated take on "Alice in Wonderland."
The dads were dressed at Tweedledee and Tweedledum, while Gideon was the White Rabbit and Harper led the way as little Alice.
According to Harris, Burtka came up with the group effort, and he has another in the works. The Wonderland ensembles were just for a carnival at the kids' preschool. "But 10/31 will be frighteningly different," he promised.
This isn't the first time they've gone in for a family-favorite theme. In 2011, they dressed in their "Peter Pan" bests, and 2012 saw them hit the not-so-yellow-brick road in "Wizard of Oz" costumes.
