Miley Cyrus has been spotted around Los Angeles with a new guy — is he just a friend or more?
The new guy in question is Justin Gaston, a contestant on “Nashville Star,” which Miley’s dad, Bill Ray Cyrus, hosts. Gaston was eliminated during week three of this season’s country music reality show competition.
On Sunday, Miley and Gaston, along with the rest of the Cyrus clan, attended church in Pasadena, Calif., before heading to Disney’s Concert for Hope where Miley performed, People magazine reports.
The 20-year-old aspiring country singer is “a friend from Nashville,” a rep for Miley told the mag.
Gaston’s rep told People, “He’s visiting L.A. for the week.”
“They’ve been spending a lot of time together while he’s in town,” a source close to the 15-year-old Disney star said.
Gaston, who has also modeled for Guess and Kenneth Cole, currently stars as Taylor Swift’s leading man in the video for her single “Love Story.” Gaston and Swift met during his stint on “Nashville Star” and have “became good friends,” his rep said.
In fact, Swift appears to have cast a spell on Gaston long before he starred in her music video.
”[Justin has] had a ‘crush’ on Taylor Swift for quite a while,” the rep added.
