With well-stoked pregnancy rumors and a wedding on the way, Ashlee Simpson’s enjoying her moment in the spotlight. But if the younger Simpson sibling thinks big sis Jessica’s going to sit back in the shadows, she couldn’t be more wrong. Star magazine reports Jessica’s hot on her sister’s matrimonial heels, and may just beat her down the aisle.
“(Jessica would) love nothing more than to get married before Ashlee,” a source revealed to Star. “It upsets her that her little sister will be married and she won’t. She gets jealous when Ash gets more attention.”
That’s where Jessica’s six-month romance with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo comes in. “She’s been showing him rings in magazines,” the insider said. “She tells him what she likes, and she does it right in front of his friends, too, so it’s really awkward.”
Awkward or not, Jess plans to keep up the pressure. “She been joking to friends that she should take Tony to Vegas, get him drunk and drag him to the Little White Wedding Chapel.”
All joking aside, the Star source claimed that if Tony doesn’t pop the question soon, Jess may just make the proposal herself. “She knows he can’t say no to her.”

According to the National Enquirer, Jamie Lynn expects Mama Spears to loosen the purse strings on her personal fortune so she can buy a home for herself and the father of her baby-to-be, Casey Aldridge. Lynne, on the other hand, doesn’t see the sense in allowing a 17-year-old to get her hands on the $300,000 needed to seal the deal.
“When Lynne refused, Jamie Lynn said she was moving in with Casey’s parents,” an insider told the Enquirer. “Lynne immediately jumped on a plane in Los Angeles and headed home to Kentwood. She’s buying everything for the baby’s nursery.”
But a swanky nursery in Casa de Spears just isn’t enough. “Jamie Lynn wants to control her money and marry Casey,” the insider said.
As for her threat to join the Aldridges, another source claims she’s serious. She even gets on well with her future in-laws. “Jamie Lynn’s relationship with (Casey’s mother) Joyce is blossoming into a real friendship, and she’s become very comfortable asking her for motherly advice,” the family friend assured. “The bright side is that Joyce has no agenda, and Jamie Lynn has grown to love her like a second mom.”
