Country star Carrie Underwood celebrated her 10th appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show with an unexpected spook.

The former "American Idol" winner sat down to talk with Ellen about her adorable son with hockey star husband, Mike Fisher.

While she was there, Ellen couldn’t pass up an opportunity to unleash a well-crafted prank.

“I feel like I should give you a gift,” Ellen told Underwood after the two reminisced about her first appearance on the show.

“I don’t know what it should be,” she continued. Suddenly, a man clad in hockey gear popped out of the table next to Underwood’s seat, scaring the pants off her.

A shocked Underwood and giddy Ellen couldn’t contain their laughter afterwards.

This isn’t the first time Underwood has been the butt of Ellen's joke.

Last October, she had a real screamer of a scare when a man in a cowboy costume jumped out onto the stage next to her.

Maybe during her next appearance, Underwood will have her revenge.
