"Beavis and Butt-head" made their triumphant return to the MTV lineup on Thursday night, drawing 3.3 million viewers.

Fans of the show from back when it originally aired were excited for the return of the duo, but there's possibly some more good news. In a recent interview with Vice, show creator Mike Judge dished a little on one of the show's more popular characters: Daria Morgendorffer. And more specifically, her possible return to the show.

When Vice asked whether the whipsmart character would appear on "Beavis and Butt-head," Judge said that he'd been asked that question so often, he "was thinking maybe we should bring her back." For fans of the gloomy gal, his answer provides more hope than his previous reply to the same question by Rolling Stone in August. During that interview, Judge said Daria wouldn't be back beyond a "sort of a cameo in one episode."

"I liked her on 'Beavis and Butt-Head,' " Judge told Vice. "Everyone on the show is portrayed negatively across the board. Daria was the only one who was occasionally not. I liked that interaction with her and them. So yeah, I might have to bring her back."

The bespectacled chick got her own spin-off show in 1997, which Judge was not a part of. ("Daria" ended in 2001.) It featured Daria and her family in their new hometown of Lawndale, far away from the slacker pair in Highland.

Should Daria return to "Beavis and Butt-head," or stay in Lawndale? What did you think of the show's return? Share your thoughts on our Facebook page.
