Brian Williams may be a veteran news anchor, but "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon and his team have proven yet again that despite the newsman's skill at delivering hard news, Williams can also drop a mad beat — with a little bit of creative editing help, that is.
The "Tonight" gang on Monday remixed various clips of the "Nightly News" anchor's broadcasts to have him "perform" what might be the best Brian Williams rap yet: Sir Mix-A-Lot's 1992 hit "Baby Got Back." Several of the TODAY show ladies even made cameos in the video, with Kathie Lee Gifford offering one of the best lines of all.
The clip had the TODAY anchors giggling at the lascivious lyrics delivered by their co-workers, especially the "interesting language," as Tamron Hall called it, from Gifford.
"Normally, they just take one word from the newscasts, but there was actually a night where Brian said, 'Shake that healthy butt,'" Matt Lauer pointed out.
Viewers were delighted by the video featuring the NBC personalities.
Williams' previous efforts on "The Tonight Show" include Snoop Dogg's "Nuthin' But a G Thang" and "Gin and Juice," "Rapper's Delight" with TODAY's Lester Holt, Warren G's "Regulate," NWA's "Straight Outta Compton" and more. The newsman also slow jammed the news on several occasions with Fallon on "Late Night."
"The Tonight Show" airs weeknights at 11:35 on NBC.
