Despite a brief split last summer, the onetime "Newlyweds" star is engaged to Vanessa Minnillo, E! News confirmed Thursday.
"We're excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together," the couple said in a statement.
Advice for the happy couple, who started seeing each other in 2006: Steer clear of reality shows.
There's no word yet from the camp of Lachey's ex-wife, one Jessica Simpson. While the pop star hasn't had the easiest time of it since their 2005 breakup, she appears to be in a positive relationship at last with retired NFL player Eric Johnson.
And all was civil when the two couples ended up at the same L.A. restaurant — the gods were smiling on the paparazzi that day — a couple weeks ago.
